Recently, Northern Vietnam was struck by Yagi – the largest storm to hit the East Vietnam Sea in the past 30 years. Embracing the spirit of “mutual support," the Merchize team embarked on a charitable mission to aid the people of Tuy Loc, Yen Bai City, one of the areas most devastated by the historic floods.
Tuy Loc, an agricultural community, suffered a tremendous loss, with nearly all of its crops—the primary source of income for the residents—destroyed. Even more heartbreaking was the sight of homes swept away, fields submerged in mud, and lives turned upside down. Witnessing this devastation firsthand, the team members gained a deeper understanding of these people’s immense challenges.
During the visit, Merchize had the opportunity to meet local officials and families, personally delivering 200 million VND in cash along with practical gifts like rice, essential supplies, school materials, medicine, and more. This effort aimed to help the community recover from the natural disaster.
Our team also visited and offered support to families in particularly difficult situations, those most severely affected by the flood. Each gift carried not just material value but also heartfelt encouragement and sincere solidarity from every Merchize member, hoping to give the people the strength to overcome hardship and rebuild their lives.
While these losses are hard to restore, we believe that with the collective support of the community, new hope and strength can arise in the affected areas. Merchize sincerely thanks all the generous contributions from our team members and factory staffs for joining us on this meaningful journey!
