How to Generate Facebook Product Feed Files with Merchize Storefront

Creating a product feed file for your store can be an efficient way to manage your product listings on Facebook and other platforms. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you easily generate product feed files using Merchize Storefront.

1. Sign into your Merchize Seller Account
2. Navigate to the “Apps" section from the main dashboard.
3. Select “Facebook". This will take you to the Product Feed page.

4. Configure your Product Feed

On the Product Feed page, you will find several filter options that allow you to tailor the feed to your specific needs. Here’s how to configure them:

• Created At: Enter the start and end date to include products created within this date range.
• Collections: Select a product collection to filter products from specific categories.
• Tags: Filter products using tags. This is useful for narrowing down the list to products marked with specific labels.

5. After you’ve set the desired filters, click the “Generate new feed” button.

A feed generation request will be created and added to the list displayed beneath the filter section, where you can track its status. The section provides the following information:

• Created: The time the feed request was made.
• Filter: The filters applied for that specific feed request.
• Status: Current status of the feed request, which can be:
  • Pending: Your request is in the queue.
  • Processing: Your feed is being generated.
  • Done: The feed is ready for download.
  • Cancelled: The request was cancelled.

6. Once the request status changes to “Done", you’ll see a downloadable link next to the feed request. Click on the link to download the feed file to your device.
7. Manage your feed requests

For each request listed in the table, you can take the following actions:

• Cancel: If the feed is still processing or in the queue, you can cancel the request.
• Delete: You can delete completed or cancelled feed requests from the list.

8. Upload product feed files to Facebook

• Open Facebook Commerce Manager.
• Open the Catalog tab and go to “Items" or “Data sources".
• Click “Add items"
• Select “Data feed" and click “Next"

• Select the option to upload your file to create data feed then click “Next"
• Click “Upload"
